Ideal Truck & Trailer, Inc. offers complete refurbishment services. Listed below are the standard services that refurbishment includes:

repair all accident damage
weld cracks in floor, walls, posts or rails, as needed
check roof for leaks and re-seal if needed
repair or replace bumpers, as needed
update locking mechanism, as needed
remove/replace all doors, replace worn or damaged door panels
adjust, repair or replace counterbalances
replace door seals, as needed
remove and replace all pin and rollers
replace door cables, as needed
replace door pull straps, as needed
repair door tracks
repair bay floors, as needed
install keg reinforcement, if needed
inspect, repair or replace kingpin & plate, as needed

inspect and repair landing gear, as needed
inspect and repair/replace lights, as needed
update reflectors and conspicuity tape
repair or replace step bars, as needed
acid wash bays
remove existing paint and decals
sand, prep, prime and paint
decal installation
drop shelf kit and shelf installation, as needed

In addition to complete refurbishing, we also purchase used equipment, take trade-ins and also sell used/refurbished beverage trucks, bodies, trailers, and tractors.

If we don’t have what you need in stock, we can order it! We will do everything we can to fulfill your needs. We have several connections across the United States and we will go to work for YOU!

We offer pick-up/delivery service as well, which also includes the ability to haul a route truck on a drop-deck trailer, eliminating any additional miles being put on your vehicle.

Should you refurbish a trailer with us and need to have a loaner while your trailer is at our facility, we also have loaner trailers available. The only thing you need to provide is liability insurance and the use of the trailer is absolutely free.

We take great pride in our work and our ultimate goal is to make our customer pleased and happy with his investment. Should there ever be a problem, where our customer is not completely satisfied, we will handle the problem professionally and fairly to ensure our customer’s satisfaction.

The Ideal SUV is built for YOU and YOUR needs, whether you are pulling a horse trailer, camper, race car trailer, or snow mobile trailer.

We can build it for whatever YOUR needs are. There is no minimum or maximum amount. You control the costs, by YOUR needs. The Ideal SUV will be professionally blue printed (to scale), prior to manufacturing, for your inspection.

April 2, 2008: The new paint booth addition is finished! With numerous delays due to parts back orders and weather, our addition took longer than expected, however it was definitely worth the wait!

Larson Construction, Story CIty, IA, did a fantastic job with the addition and installation and we are more than pleased with the job. Ideal now has the largest paint booth in the State of Iowa, to our knowledge and we are capable of painting up to 53′ transport trailers. The quality of the paint booth even makes the finished product better.

With the ‘down draft’ concept and it’s own heating system makes for a superior finished product and we look forward to many years of use out of the investment made…definitely money well spent.

Look for more pictures, showing the paint booth in operation…we are extremely pleased with the addition to our facility. We look forward to having one of ‘your’ units being painted in our new facility…you will definitely be impressed.

Ideal Truck & Trailer, Inc. offers custom beverage delivery truck design, refurbishing, repair, and sales in Nevada, Iowa.

Our company was established in the summer of 2003, and is owned by Jim “Coop’ Cooper. Coop hired Gregg Larson in August 2004 when the company that Coop and Gregg had both worked for closed, and both manage the operations at Ideal Truck & Trailer, Inc.

With more than 50 years of combined experience in the beverage delivery vehicle refurbishing industry, there is nothing that Coop and Gregg have not seen.

Over the years, we have seen manufacturers come and go, such as Hi-Line, Swan, Kinnard, Kolstad and the recently closed Centennial — even some that you may have never heard of.

Beverage delivery vehicles are somewhat like humans — none are exactly the same and with all the years of combined experience in the refurbishing industry we know the first place to look for a problem on any manufacturer’s body or trailer.

We not only know where to look for the problem, our staff knows exactly how to repair/replace the problem, putting your unit back into service for an additional 5-8 years.

Aluminum beverage bodies/trailers will eventually turn to dust in approximately 200 years, so none of us will need to worry about experiencing that. Refurbishing is a very lucrative option for any wholesaler or bottler, and will save you thousands of hard-earned dollars when compared to purchasing new equipment. It will be beneficial at tax time as well.
